1 Switch on the power supply to locate the bulb and the wires supplying electricity to the bulb holder. Use a digital millimeter to establish which wire is positive and which is negative. Connect the positive and negative probes across the bulb holder. If the millimeter shows a positive reading, the positive probe is on the positive wire. A negative reading means the positive probe is attached to the negative wire. Mark or label the positive wire. Now switch off the power.

2 Remove the bulb and place it somewhere safe. Check the polarity markings on the 12-volt LED. Insert the LED into the bulb-holder so the positive side of the LED connects with the positive side of the bulb holder. Push the LED firmly into the holder but do not use excessive force.

3 Switch on the bulb. If you connected the LED correctly it will illuminate. If the LED does not illuminate, switch off the power, remove the LED, turn it through 180 degrees and reconnect it with the polarity reversed. Switch on the power and check again. 2 Attach mounting channels to the wall under the cabinet as close to the cabinet as possible so the lighting is hidden from sight when standing normally in the kitchen. Use screws to anchor it to the wall, or clean the wall with rubbing alcohol and use liquid nails to hold the channels in place. Alternatively, attach the flexible LED light strip directly to the wall with the attached tape.
3 Pull the paper covering from the back of the strip exposing the adhesive. Either tapes the strip directly to the wall or mounting channel, leaving the end loose until you connect the next section. Continue adhering the strips to the wall, connecting the sections to each other.
4 Snap the lens cover over the LED lighting strip starting at the far end and gently pushing the cover in place along the mounting channel.
5 Connect the end of the strip to the driver strip and then to the wall adapter plug. Plug in the lights.
